Safeway and PEPSI

Ok so I said in the previous blog to go to Albertsons for maximum value on the $10 off $50 this week, but now I am changing my tune because if you drink Pepsi at all or plan to drink any this summer, this is the week to get it!

Currently at Safeway there are two deals going on that can be combined and I tried it today. It worked like a charm even though the cashier didn't think it would!

Buy 2 12 packs get two free plus one case of water.....so I bought 4 12 packs got 4 free plus 2 cases of water.

Also, if you buy 10 pepsi or Tostitos/Lays products this week, you get a free catlina coupon for a $25 gift card of your choice. So, I added 2 bags of tostitos for an additional $5 and it triggered the free $25 gift card. The 4 free Pepsi's counted toward the 10 Pepsi items. The free gift card voucher can be redeemed right away, it is not a mail in. THe only stipulation is that it cannot be used for a VISA or MC card. So, I turned it in for a gas card and went and put $25 into the van.

THerefore, for $5.66 out of pocket I got 8 cases of PEPSI/2 cases of water and 2 bags of chips. PLus I can take back the cans for an even sweeter deal. I did have two .55 off coupons that I applied to this because they were on some of the 12 pack cases.

If you don't think you need that much pop, who really does? Donate it to the high school or middle school youth group for their next summer event.

Plus, use your 10 off $50 to make it even cheaper if you are going to buy other groceries at the same time. My understanding is that this can be done once per club card this week, until next tuesday 6/19. If you and your spouse have different club cards....go for it :)

More ways to Save at Albertsons

Ok, so if the current cereal and milk deal isn't good enough, you can also take the coupon from the Safeway ad for 4 cereals for $6 and use it at Albertsons. The fine print reads you must spend $10 in order to use this coupon. But really is that hard? So, buy 4 cereals listed on that coupon-actually only fruit loops will trigger the free milk. So, if you buy fruit loops, you can get 3 boxes for $4.50 plus a free gallon of milk. The catalina for the free milk is up to $4.50 so you can even buy organic milk if you want to. That catalina will be printed at the check stand and then you would want to go through again to get the milk free. Also, if you have any manufactureres coupons, you can use them on this deal too.

If you saw the $10 off $50 purchase in the paper Tuesday. That can also be used at Albertsons. Take all the Safeway coupons there for maximum value this week.

Cheap Cereal and Milk at Albertsons 6/13-6/19

This week at Albertsons there is a deal for a free gallon of milk when you buy 3 or more GM cereals and check the ad for additional frees with purchase. This is the time to use your Cheerios coupons or any other GM that you have. Currently the cereal is 2 for $4. If you have a $1/2 and double it with a Safeway double coupon, you can get your cereal for 2/$2.50. So, if you buy 4 boxes of cereal, it would be $5 out of pocket for 4 boxes and a gallon of milk. A good deal if you need cereal. If you buy 6, you get two free gallons. There are printable coupons from the internet on cereal as well. If you need some check out boodle.com
